My Search for the Golden F(leece)eathers.

I was 14 - 15 when I first saw feather extensions. Wow I thought. I NEED THAT. 

I think it's so beautiful, I love how it gives color to your hair and the fact that you don't have to take them of is the hugest plus ever, since I'm not the biggest fan of taking to much time to fix myself in the morning. 

But unfortunately for me I live in Narnia (Sweden) and we didn't have feather extensions at that time! It was still pretty new. months wen't by and I never stopped my search for these lovely feathers.

 And then I found them.

On the internet.

For 100 kr per feather (£10, $13)

WHAT THE ACTUAL DUCK!?

If the feathers were actually WORTH that much I would pay the price but I knew that they were not.

Alas I bought one feather anyway.

Just to find out that it was not really a feather. It was just  feather looking hair.

My trust in humanity died that day.  But I'm Still searching.

What's the point with school?

I'm having my leadership and organization class at the moment,  my teacher is talking about. .. something and I have my book "beautiful disaster staring back at me,  telling me to break all rules, and just read.  I wish I could.... ugh the book is so good,  I just want to go home and read!!!

I don't know about you but I don't use bookmarks as bookmarks when I read. I had the most brautiful bookmarkthing that I got when I was in China, it looked like a very long and thin blade that curved itself at the top so that the end hugged the spine while the blade thing was inside the book. And from this curve thing that could be seen from the outside hang beautiful pearls.  But I lost it :(

But now I use postcard as bookmarks! My favorite one is the one from Jersey, but I do have other that I have randomly been getting from people in town, and I've also been getting postcards from book events :)

FEMALE ROLE MODELS... or should I call them fictional role models? Whatsoever I've always had these character that I look up to, I wan't to BE them, not because they seem to have a awesome life, but because of how STRONG they are.


Clary Fray from The Mortal Instruments
In City of Bones Clary's mother dissapears. At that time Clary is also introduced to the Shadowhunter world. She finds Jace, and secrets are revealed. Clary is just 16 years old at this time but she is so freaking determined that she will find her mother. And Clary never EVER stop being determined. Even when everything seems impossible she still fight. If it wasn't for her strong soul the whole world would have gone under. You got to admire a strong soul.



Tris Prior from Divergent
Beatrice Prior. In my mind there are only two life paths for people like Tris. Either she could have ended up being a total loser because she is ashamed of her Divergence, or she could have turned it to something good, like trying to save the world and save us all. she choose the latter.
Being in a room full of people and you just wan't to blend in... yeah, we have all been there. People Notice that Tris is different and some even try to bring her down. She is just human, of course she get hurt, But she never show them how she feels. She always walked with her strongest foot first, and would never budge. A lot of the times she confesses that she is scared but she does is anyway. Tris is genuinely a very nice person, she is nice to everyone. I like that Tris is always on the run of finding herself. I think that is something we can all relate to, but Tris never really "tries". She live her life the way she want's to and just accept what is laying ahead of her



Sydney from The Vampire Academy/ Bloodlines. 
You know why Sydney is one of my role models?
Sydney was rased in a very strict way, she was told that the vampires were the bad guys, NO MATTER WHAT, and they and the humans were the good guys. She learns to hate the vampires and even the thought of breathing the same air as them disguises her at first. But what do you do when you get forced to spend quite a lot of time with them and - God forbid, starts to see them for what they really are? Yeah, being bought up in a special way sets it's roots but Sydney taught me that it is okay to think for yourself. It is okay to have different opinions.

what to do when you are sick...

it's super warm outside, the birds are singing and I can SMELL  the ice cream from the ice cream stands, and it's really annoying, because I love ice cream so yeah... because Im sick.

my whole body hurts, i guess this is what it feels like to be old..


so anyway, being sick sucks, especially when im supposed to go out summer shopping today and watch a movie at the cinema AND have a room to clean.

just thinking about all that makes my head hurt more, but anyway. I thought I'd take this oppurtunity to share with you guys what I do when Im sick!

My mum work as a acupuncturist and she works with ayurveda too, so she is pretty much against all sort of medicines unless im like dying lol, but I always have tea by my side. I prefer green tea with honey, and i put it in a thermos so it will stay hot for a longer time

when Im sick I also like to read, but not books, I find books too heavy for my eyes, I need pictures and stuff so I have some old magazines to just skim throe or.

lot's of water!
water is a must for your system, I know that it might not taste so great but try to add some strong juice to give it some flavor, that will also cheer us up, being able to drink something we like.

and lastly but not least... chocolate...
because it's chocolate. enough said.

I hope I get well soon, because it hurts feeling old...

Enjoying myself in the sun

Summer in the air here in Sweden! I've been going out with dresses and sandals the past days, and just relaxing with a great book and snacks by my side! To hard to accept...

my most precious baby e reader just got her first scratch. im heartbroken, I don't know how to continue with my life...

E-Reader. I know I didn't give you the most original name, but it just descibe you so well...
you might have a scar on you know but know this - scars tell stories, scars are experiences. I have tons of scars and each tell a different story (okay maybe not, every scar I have is from when my sister and I fight and she decides to use her nails). tomorrow is a big day for little me...

... meeting some doctors (like 7 - 10) tomorrow to discuss future operations, I was born with a syndrome that comes with some complications, but I can live with them. Thou i CAN it's not something I necessarily wan't to. So Im meeting up with a whole team to discuss what they are ready to do, IF they even are ready to do anything. Im super scared because this is my last chance to prove that I really wan't this, and then it's up to them to decide. anyway, I don't really wan't to talk about my syndrome or anything here because I don't wan't it to affect how people see me. it's a part of me, but it's not a part of my personality.

So yeah, Im going to be at that place the WHOLE DAY (better than school, I will give it that) I actually like hospitals. They feel like home. I know that's kind of tragic, because that means I have been to hospitals a lot of times, but it's true. The doctor's are often so nice to me :)

Hello there folks!!

Hello my name is Maria and Im Lihinis bff. I live in Sweden in a town called Bålsta, Im 17 years old, enough about me and now to my passion to books.
I also like to read books but not like Lihini. I mean if Im going to read a book it has to be really good from the begging! and if its not I just throw it away.
so what made me start reading book, yea well that´s simple I can put it in two words: Stephenie Meyer. when I was younger I just read, you know, those really simple books for children until I was about 13 because I did not like to read. But that changed when I made myself read her book because everyone talked about them, so that's the story of how I started reading :)

My day in pictures

My day started of great. First lesson spanish (first and second pic) we have a tradition in my class that someone or some people bake something to our last friday class, and this week it was my and Evelinas time. We decided to make vanilla muffins with melted chocolate inside (pic 3) and after that i went home from her place and a birthday gift from my mums bf waited at me (pic 4) i had told him earlier that I wanted it, going to kill that bag this spring/summer. Then i started with my studies with a raspberry smoothie by me as a snack (pic 5) and then Evelina text's me and tells me that we have a problem.  Our muffins have turned into stones.  I did what i had to do. I dragged my tired ass over to the kitchen at 9 pm and stood there and made muffins for over an hour.  (Pic 6)

Perfect book

A perfect book. What does a perfect book contain?
Do we even know what it should contain before we have read anything that we find perfect ? I don't know about you guys but... I know what I want In a book.

That's what i want in my fantasy books. I want REAL action, fight scenes as much as i wan't those heated romantic scenes, I wan't the book to be well written but most of all, I wan't to be fooled. I always know when authors are king in their books, and then in a plot twist you find out you were right etc. Authors have to be better at that. At fooling me.

Im never having kids

Im never having kids. My mother forced me to visit my cousins today with my sis, im supposed to sleep here and they are like little monsters!! They are screaming and shouting and crying! And ontop of the cake my grandmum is trying to make them take a bath because they stink.

My youngest cuz under. She found me. If I die from her talking and screaming I just want to say that I love u all, blogging makes me happy and that others like my work makes me happier. Bye

I MIGHT just have my manusscript (my one and only lol) made into a theater/musical show!! My friends school r putting up a show, she goes to a big musicschool and she suggested they do a play using my script, and they seemed to like the idea! If they decide to use it... I have to actually finish it.

5 things I like about myself

negativity. negativity all around us. we see ourselves in the mirror and find all the wrongs at the first glance. But we are more than that. We all have something we like about ourself, or atleast don't hate.

Im going to start with my list and then I wan't all of you guys to write a list with five things of what u like about yourself.

I like my hair, i like my dark brown colour, the silky feeling and the lenght, it grows fast

I like my strong long healthy nails

I like my strong arms

I like my skin, it's very soft and I almost never get pimples.

It’s finally Easter break! I saw a bunny yesterday on my way home; I thought that was a bit random haha! How are you guys celebrating Easter?

We don’t really celebrate Easter here at home, we buy candy and might go out and have dinner, but we don’t celebrate it with decorating the house and stuff like that. Although I would like to do that, I like decorating and doing DIYs. Oh well, there is always a next year.

This week break I have some stuff scheduled. It’s my mother’s birthday on Monday, yes, April fool day, then on Tuesday I’m meeting up with my ol’ friend who I haven’t seen since October I think! Then later that evening I’m going to my friends place, Julia, she is having a sleepover for me and our friend Carin (i did my first "teatime with lihini ever on her, but back then i called it interview lol, find it HERE), we call ourselves “the trio” I know, how original. Then on Thursday my friend William who I had over as a guest on “teatime with Lihini”(you can find it here) is having a movie night! Me and my friend Maria won’t stay long because my mom only allowed me to be there to 10pm, but I will take what I get, considering the fact that she wouldn’t even let me go in the first place.

And of course I’m going to read tons of books! (That’s what I’m telling myself, I always end up finishing top’s two books…)

do not judge me, i know I promised a critisized post about Cassandra Clare but my day has been o hectic, i had a math test at school today, and after school I had to take the train to another city, at that city I met a lot of old friends which was both sad and fun because some of my close frends didnt even say hi, anyway, after that i went to another city and had to endure a visit at my mums friends place. im at my grands now, its 9.30pm, and im super tired and this computer is super weird... I have been trying to get ahold of an author to interview, if you have a suggestion just comment it down below. and i can tell u right now that  i wont be able to interview J.K Rowling. sry lads.

My life right now
