Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale (The Bane Chronicles #3) REVIEW

Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale (The Bane Chronicles, #3)By Cassandra Clare
Pages:  61
Pblisher: Margaret K. McElderry Books

When immortal warlock Magnus Bane attends preliminary peace talks between the Shadowhunters and the Downworlders in Victorian London, he is charmed by two very different people: the vampire Camille Belcourt and the young Shadowhunter, Edmund Herondale. Will winning hearts mean choosing sides?

Beautiful Bane <3

I love these short stories, they give us a better insight on what went down in the past. I'd love to know more about Edmund HERONDALE, he seems very interesting indeed (he is a Herondale afterall).

The Midnight Heir (The Bane Chronicles Part #4) REVIEW

SPOILER WARNING IF YOU HAVE NOT READ CLOCKWORK PRINCESS
(THE INFERNAL DEVICES #3)
description

The Midnight Heir (The Bane Chronicles, #4)By Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan
Pages: 64
Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry Books

In Edwardian London, Magnus Bane discovers old friends and new enemies—including the son of his former comrade Will Herondale. One of ten adventures in The Bane Chronicles.

Magnus thought he would never return to London, but he is lured by a handsome offer from Tatiana Blackthorn, whose plans—involving her beautiful young ward—are far more sinister than Magnus even suspects. In London at the turn of the century, Magnus finds old friends, and meets a very surprising young man . . . the sixteen-year-old James Herondale.

My heart... I can't deal with more Jem-Tessa-Will feels than what I've already felt... All the feelings I had while reading TID resurfaced, and I was both happy and sad (the perks of being a wallflower shoutout hehe)

I don't really know what James Herondale's deal is, I guess we wil find out about that in her next series, but the fact that he is wounded does make sense. He is a Herondale after all.

I'm not reading the Bane chronicles in any particular order, I got them all and I'm just reading them. But I'm sure this one will be my favorie because I got to meet my favorite characters again <3

Try Me (Take a Chance #1) REVIEW

Try Me (Take a Chance, #1)What happens in Vegas...can lead to romance.

It took one wild night for Sergeant Jeremy Addison to realize that Vegas? Was a bad idea.

Bloody. Bruised. Dehydrated. Abandoned in the desert, and left to stagger down the road. The only way this leave could get worse was if his savior was his ex-best friend's sister...and the girl he'd loved since childhood.

The last person Erica expected to find on the roadside was her high school crush. She hadn't seen Jeremy in seven years—ever since the night he said he loved her, and she ran away. Losing him then had been a mistake, but wanting him now could be catastrophic if he discovered the secret that chased every other man from her life. But with a tall, tattooed Marine determined to prove he's always been faithful, can Erica resist his advances...or will she surrender ground and give love a try?

yeah, a very very amatour written book with no plot twist really and crappy characters.
I don't even no how this book made it through publication, Everything was just so unbelievable, It's a short story, yes, I'm sure she finished this one in like 2 hours, but there are better (much better) short stories out there.

(yes the cover was the reason I picked this book up)

1/5

~read it but I didn't recommend it

The Transfer: A Divergent Story (Divergent 0.1) REVIEW

description

The Transfer by Veronica Roth
By Veronica Roth
Pages: 50
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books

"The Transfer," the first of four new short stories told from Four’s perspective. Each brief story explores the world of the Divergent series through the eyes of the mysterious but charismatic Tobias Eaton, revealing previously unknown facets of his personality, backstory, and relationships.

TOO SHORT!

GIVE ME MORE

WHY ON EARTH DID WE ONLY GET FIFTY PAGES?!

I loved it, I really can't picture Tobias being "weak" or even with real emotions like that haha, but I do feel like we got a better glimpse of him, because the past is what sets out future. No future can be made without a past.

This short story makes me long even more for Allegiant, but at the same time I never wan't that day to come, because that means that It's over. The divergent series is over.

Darkness Divine (four short novels in one book) REVIEW +

Darkness Divine

By P.C. Cast, Geba Showalter, Maggie Shayne, Rhyannon Byrd

Kindle Edition432 pages
Published September 1st 2010 by MIRA

In Divine Beginnings, Healer Aine must chose between treating an enigmatic enemy or letting him die, whilst The Amazon’s Curse could kill the passion that Nola and vampire warrior Zane share.

Toying with New Orleans Voodoo, leaves Tessa haunted by a sinfully sexy man., whilstlast scion of the dragon clan Rhys is tormented by his desire for Alia as he struggles to fight the Edge of Craving.

This book contains four small novels, and since i've already written a review on the first one, Divine Beginnings which you can find HERE I won't write another review of it.

I liked these novels more or less, I felt that they could really have been turned in to something more, something more deeper. The Amazon's Curse kept talking about an Island that made me very confused, because everything that happent in this short novel was founded from everything that happen't on that Island, I felt left out, and that is very very amateur. you should NEVER make a reader feel left out like that. I give The Amazon's Curse 2 stars because I would love to know what happened on that Island.

Then we have Voodoo which I really liked while reading it, I thought It was something extra, and I wanted to know what would happen later (which I never will because there is no follow up book) but now thinking back I have to admit that everything happen't way to fast.

Edge of Craving was a bit of a joke, the lead male character was just so funny and not in the good way funny, no I just could not hold myself from laughing at this character, the character never laugh's, never smiles, always mean and grim, etc etc, but of course the innocent girl has to fall for this stone, but hey, oh nono, the guy is not a bottle of negativity after all, he actually likes her and want her body
And the girl is not so innocent after all, very demanding. This was like a fantasy, very very very short version of Fifty Shades of Grey.
