New Releases of the Month: May

Hi guys!
Been a long day for me today.
Had my national test in English today (writing part) and then I've been over at Elviras place all day baking and talking about boys (she is also known as the photographer for TeenBookaLover)

May is a bittersweet month for me. It's the last full month for the seniors in school, and then they will be gone. I will miss them so so much. I've grown so attached to them, and school won't be the same without them. My heart is bleeding. No for real, I think I just got shot.
Nevermind, I'm fine.

But apart from that we hav 2 birthdays this month! My friend Sebastian turned 18 today and Elvira will turn 18 in two days, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you guys <3

As some of you might know JLA is one of my favorite authors of all time. I have no doubt whatsoever that this YA mystery book will be any less than her other books.

Mud VeinMud Vein
By Tarryn Fisher
Publication date: April 5th

When reclusive novelist Senna Richards wakes up on her thirty-third birthday, everything has changed. Caged behind an electrical fence, locked in a house in the middle of the snow, Senna is left to decode the clues to find out why she was taken. With her survival hanging by a thread, Senna soon realizes this is a game. A dangerous one. Only the truth can set her free.

I've read one book by Taryn Fisher before and I swear, that book left my mind jiggly for a whole week. All I could think about was the novel. Fisher have this capturing way of writing, it's beautiful.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)To All the Boys I've Loved Before
by Jenny Han
Publication date: 15th April

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

This seems like the perfect summer read! I'm going on a vacation tomorrow to Turkey and I'm definitely bringing this book with me in my ebook reader.

Rebel BelleRebel Belle
By Rachel Hawkins

Harper Price, peerless Southern belle, was born ready for a Homecoming tiara. But things get complicated when Harper starts falling for him--and discovers that David's own fate could very well be to destroy Earth.

Rachel Hawkins wrote The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. Most suspense and thrilling book in this world.

Love Letters to the DeadLove Letters to the Dead
By Ava Dellaira
Publication date: April 1th

It begins as an assignment for English class: Write a letter to a dead person. Laurel chooses Kurt Cobain because her sister, May, loved him. And he died young, just like May did. Soon, Laurel has a notebook full of letters to people like Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Amelia Earhart, Heath Ledger, and more; though she never gives a single one of them to her teacher. She writes about starting high school, navigating new friendships, falling in love for the first time, learning to live with her splintering family. And, finally, about the abuse she suffered while May was supposed to be looking out for her. Only then, once Laurel has written down the truth about what happened to herself, can she truly begin to accept what happened to May. And only when Laurel has begun to see her sister as the person she was; lovely and amazing and deeply flawed; can she begin to discover her own path.

This is a realistic fiction. I think this book will make you cry, it seems like it. I love reading cry-books.

Or will he be shut out of Avery's life, losing his first real shot at the kind of love that lasts forever?

I usually don't read books that follows the same story but from another persons POV, I can read small chapters but I've never done a book so this will be my first time. I doubt this will be anything but good because It's miss JLA we are talking about here... Is it just me or does she seem to come out with a new book every month? Well, I'm not complaining.

The Shadowhunters' Codexthe Shadowhunters' Codex
By Cassandra Clare
Pages: 304
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Publication-day: October 29th 2013

The Clave is pleased to announce the newest edition of the Nephilim’s oldest and most famous training manual: the Shadowhunter’s Codex. Since the thirteenth century, the Codex has been the young Shadowhunter’s best friend. When you’re being swarmed by demons it can be easy to forget the finer points of obscure demon languages or the fastest way to stop an attack of Raum demons. With the Codex by your side, you never have to worry.

Now in its twenty-seventh edition, the Codex covers it all: the history and the laws of our world; how to identify, interact with, and if necessary, kill that world’s many colorful denizens; which end of the stele is the end you write with. No more will your attempt to fight off rogue vampires and warlocks be slowed by the need to answer endless questions from your new recruits: What is a Pyxis? Why don’t we use guns? If I can’t see a warlock’s mark, is there a polite way to ask him where it is? for full synopsis click here

Okay don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Shadowhunter world to pieces and  I love Clare's way of writing but seriously? another? I will read anything that she writes, but I would really like to see if she can write about other stuff, that does not have to do with shadowhunters. I know she is a great author and I don't think you should waste all your talent on one world when you can create a dozen more...

And while I was... looking trough the new releases of the month I saw that (House of Night #11) is also coming out... That name does ring a bell.. and then it hit me. It's THAT series! THAT SERIES IS STILL RUNNING? I LOVED HoN in the beginning, Or at least I loved the first 3 books, But the 6th and 7th one? Just no. I could deal with the crappy love triangle. I could deal with Zoey turning into a crap ass main character, heck, I even stood out with this series when she turned into a cheating bitch BECAUSE I THOUGH IT WAS GOING TO GET BETTER AND I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN AFTER THE BIG FIGHT and guess what? The big fight happened and they just kept carrying on the story. Like the heck? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I lost my little hope that I had left and stopped reading this series.

stay smart, stay chic
