THIS BOOK IS.. is so amazing, I love the fact that it's a bit more mature book, Jennifer really stepped it up, the book is so hilarious, everything about it just screams sexiness, and you just want to continue to read. ugh Im going to the store now to buy the hardcover.. later.

SUCH A PERFECT COVER!

Im going to miss Hector, Helen, Ariadne, Jason and Lucas a lot. But I will be missing Orion and Cassandra the most.
This Twilight inspired trilogy had it’s ups and downs, the downs was that the book didn’t make sense half of the time, the Gods seemed to be more stupid than an average human which I found strange and what was up with the love triangle between Helen, Lucas and Orion? Why even bother putting in a love triangle when Lucas and Helen are MEANT TO BE? Ugh.. and it seemed to me that everyone in the Delos family got together with everyone. It got quite disturbing the more you thought about it.
But I still LOOVED IT!!!! omg Hades, such a sweet man (never thought I would say that) and Cassandra why are you so cute, and why does it have to be over, and why why!!!!
I got annoyed at something new in every chapter, but I just couldnt put the book down, I finished it in one sitting!

 In the end I didn’t want the book to be over. I dreaded the last few pages and I even started to like that last mentioned couple a bit too much… I don’t know what I liked so much, maybe the whole mythological idea. The book just captured me, weather I wanted it or not, I had no other choice but loving it.

As I said before I got a bit annoyed that everyone got together with everyone, but can I just say...
Orion and Cassandra!!?!?!?!?
SHE IS A FREAKING CHILD.
I liked Cassandras role so freaking much, I liked the whole idea of her being the fates child, that she was alone, but she still managed to do it. She was in my opinion the strongest character, But then Angelini had to go and make them two fall in love like really? the first second he saw nothing but sisterly adoration in her and then he kissed her and was all like "I can't stay away from her" what the f was that all about?

And I don't know if you guys noticed but the whole point of this was to find the tyrant and stop hin/her from destroying earth... and they never revealed who the tyrant was...



Im going to miss Starcrossed a lot, you will always be in my heart. *crosses my arms and put them over my chest and bends* until we meet again. Good bye.

Helt ärligt trodde jag att jag höll i en barnbok när jag tog upp denna bok. glad framsida med fina färger och blommor, 200 sidor kort berättelse, hur hemsk kan den vara liksom?
Mycket visade det sig. Den kunde vara mycket hemsk.
Sydafrika under den här tiden var ingen lätt tid för svarta människor. Man jagades och dödades för sin hudfärg, man såg på svarta som man ser på en hund - någon som man lär upp att stå och sitta. Att föja order.

Julian. han har fått kämpa sedan han var liten, han har fått leva i skuggan av världens orättvisa, och han visade denna orättvisa för andra genom sin konst. Mot slutet såg man att ingenting kunde ändra på det han faktiskt stod för - rättvisa. han höll lika hårt om sina penslar som han höll om vapen när det behövdes. Han bidade sin tid, han visste när han skulle kämpa. Julian kämpade för rättvisa. Hur mycket berömmelse han än fick glömde han aldrig vart han kom ifrån.

De karaktärerna som berörde mig allra mest var utan tvekan Rubys föräldrar. Vilken kämparglöd de två hade! De var två vita människor, rika och väl uppsatta som kämpade för de svartas rättigheter. De har allt, stort hus, berömelse, en älskad dotter, pengar, kärlek, och de väljer att kasta bort allt av betydelse för att låta de svarta få sin rättivsa. De såg människorna för deras inre och inte deras yttre. Jag ser upp till dem. I en värld där du blir stämplad vid födseln som talar om vilka förmåner du kommer ha i livet på grund av din hudfärg kan det inte vara lätt att stå för sin åsikt. De inte bara stod för sin åsikt utan de AGERADE också. 

Den här boken speglade verkligheten för endast 30 år sedan. Den här bokens budskap var tydlig - det är inte hudfärgen som avgör vem du är som person, det är insidan. Vi fick lära känna en kille som var släkt med en nazist-kramare. gör detta honom till Hitler älskare? Vi fick lära känna en svart man som togs under en vits familjs vingar som gav honom ett liv i bekvämligheter. Gjorde detta att han glömde bort vart han kom ifrån? Nej. Vi fick lära känna en familj som kunde leva i lyx om de bara valde att blunda för de svartas verklghet. gjorde de det? - Nej.

Quite honestly, I thought I was holding in a children's book when I picked up this book. happy face with beautiful colors and flowers, 200-page short story, how horrible can it be like?

Very it turned out. It could be very horrible.

South Africa during this time was not an easy time for black people. They were hunted and killed for their skin color, they saw the black people the way you see a dog - someone who can teach up to stand and sit. For following orders.

Julian. He has been fighting since he was little, he has been living in the shadow of the world's injustice, and he showed this injustice to others through their art. Towards the end you could see that nothing could change what he actually stood for - justice. He held a brush as he held on weapons when needed. He bided his time, he knew when he would fight. Julian fought for justice. How much fame he got, he never forgot where he came from.

The characters that touched me most was undoubtedly Ruby's parents. What a fighting spirit, the two had! They were two white people, rich and well established that fought for the rights of blacks. They have everything, great house, praise coming, a beloved daughter, money, love, and they choose to throw away everything of importance to let the blacks get their justice. They saw people for their internal and not their appearance. I look up to them. In a world where you get stamped at birth that tells what benefits you will have in life because of your skin color, it may not be easy to stand up for their opinion. They not only represented their opinion but they ACTED also.

This book reflected the reality of only 30 years ago. This book's message was clear - it is not skin color that determines who you are as a person, it's inside. We got to know a guy who was related to a Nazi-hugger. this makes him the Hitler lover? We got to know a black man who was in a white family's wings that gave him a life of comfort. Did this mean that he forgot where he came from? No. We got to know a family that could live in luxury if they just chose to ignore the blacks reality. did they do it? - No.

Week Challenge: a rest day

Hi yall!
how did the library challenge go? I have to admit that I didn't have time to participate. I have no clue were the nearest library is here in Sri lanka lol...

so this weeks challenge is to take one hour of your day when you usually read to do facials on you and maybe some pedacure? just pamper yourself! reading is good for you, but in those hectic times we often forget to take care of out body, so this weeks chellenge will be just that. take care of yourself!

Easy By Tammara Webber   Read this book in a single sitting, up in the air, on an airplane. It’s a cliché story, girl meets ”bad boy” and falls in love. But why am I willing to give a cliché story a 4, 5/5? Every single teenage romance book of this kind is just something you read for fun; the story doesn’t affect you that much. And the book does not seem to have a meaning. 

But this book, this book tackled a subject a lot of girls around the world and boys have to deal with every single minute. Being raped. The first thing that happens in the book is that the main character Jackie is on the verge of being raped by one of her boyfriend’s friends. This ends quite badly and we get to follow how the society looks at you after something like that. 

This story could easily be passed for a true story in my opinion because Webber succeeded in painting up our society’s twisted view of how “we” see rapists and the people being raped. I remember one girl asking another girl who had been raped in the book “but you are not even a virgin, so why should be it be such a huge deal?” I got so furious, but after a second consideration, I decided that some people would look at it that way. Lucas is the “bad boy” but to be honest he is nothing like a bad boy, they just call him that occasionally. But he was other things indeed, he was smart, caring, and he was a lover. When he loved someone he loved deeply, and he knew that love could break you. In my eyes he was just a vulnerable teenager who covered it up with a tough appearance. To sum things up, I really like the ending, because the book started the way it ended, and that for me just showed how much Jackie had grown as a person. That was sort of the time were you just laid the book down and reflected.

TAG: Adult books are not just for adults.

Let me tell you a story about a 14 year old girl who had just discovered the joy in reading. She didn't quit know what kind of books beside vampire books that she liked so she used to read anything she came across and always asked one of her best friends for reading advise. One day this friend suggested she give one of Nora Roberts book a try. Her friend said that the book was great and wasn't too immature. The girl thought this sounded like an amazing book and went to the library right after school with her mum. The girl searched the shelves for minutes without finding the book and asked for help at last. The librarian showed her the way to the book with a quizzed look. She took down the book from the shelf but didn't give the book to the girl. Instead she said "but this is a adult book, not for kids". My mum looked at the girl like she had done something wrong. The girl told the librarian her friend had recommended the book to her and the librarian just repeated herself.  "This is not a book for kids"

That kid was me.
What the librarian did was wrong on so many levels I don't even know where I should begin. A book gets labeled even before it's out,  so that readers know where to look for a book they might like.
But that doesn't mean it's wrong to "go against" the labels.
A lot of adult books talk more freely about sex than YA and teenage books, amd let's be honest, that's probably the biggest difference. Even YA have begun to describe it in bits. But other than that adult books are not very different.  The characters are often older and just because they are older than me im not supposed to read about them? Are people afraid I might learn some adult secret?

I have read EVERYTHING now at the age of 17, and I have a strong opinion about labels.  - they confuse readers. Harry Potter is a children's book but I saw a 90 year old lady enjoy it last year. I saw a 8 year old boy read the Da Vinci Code.
What im trying to say is that just because you have lived a shorter amount of time than your mother doesn't mean you guys can't enjoy the same books. Its all about personal preference. I don't become more mature with year, the books I read do.

And just so that we are on the same page, I don't think you should pick up 50 shades of Grey, no matter age. There are better R rated books out there,  im sure of that haha.

easy read book, the book was about Magnus and I just adore him, he is so cute. Cassie wrote this book together with another author, which I think was unnecessary. the book was very fast paced and I didn't really get a hum on WHY this story was even told but I had some great moments with the book when I just laughed out loud.

how to organize a bookshelf

Have your books started to grow in a uncontrollably fast pace that result's in them not having a place to live in? like the books on the picture above? Yeah I have the same problem, and Im going to help you solve it.

First thing first, If your bookshelves are OVERLOADED with books it's probably time to bye a new bookshelf. You can find bookshelves for a cheap price, I bought mine for $45 which I think was a good price, but I saw even cheaper ones at the store (IKEA)








Take down all your books and lay them on the bed or some place where they can just lay and chill.

Write down on a paper how you wan't to organize your books. I always reorganize my books, right now I have my books in color-coordination starting with the the colorful books. I used to have my shelves sorted with the paperbacks separately and pocket books separately.
This step is all about personal preference.

Start shelving them up, It's easiest working from the top down. A tip is to keep the books you like the most in the middle so that they are easier to reach.

DO NOT fill the big empty spaces with other stuff because when new books are coming in you wont know where to put the decorations you used to have on your shelves. I used to have my perfume bottles on the space my books didn't take up. bad idea.

Wan't to send fan mails to your favorite authors?

Hey folks!
I just realized that I own 12 unread books. And I still buy more.
OMG I hear thunders outside, Zeus is that you!?

I love to talk with authors and share my feelings with them, and If I have questions to them I like to ask them directly instead of just sitting and wondering about them without getting answers.
And the most surprisingly thing is that I always get a replay from them. Always.

Now you might be wondering, how do I get in contact with my favorite author?
And the Answer to that is... Facebook!
Yes, almost every author is on Facebook, and they all take their time to answer every comment, every mail, they are so nice.
One author I did not get hold of from facebook was Cassandra Clare. I was so devastated because I really wanted to share my story with her, I wanted her to know how her books had affected me. So I checked her website and found a email adress, and she replayed to me within a week.

L: Im doing great myself. What are your plans for the summer?

K: Visiting our summer house, hanging out with friends, reading a ton of books, swimming and so on. In conclusion; the usual stuff.

L: Haha that sounds like a lot of fun! Have you set a reading list?

K: I haven't actually! Do you have one?

L: Yes I have one, and I uploaded it yesterday actually! Do you mind sharing some of the books on your list?

K:A few books that I'm planning on reading are The Hobbit, The Catcher in the Rye, Fahrenheit 451, The outsiders, Divergent series, Paper Towns and Thirteen Reasons Why.

L: Im reading the hobbit this summer too! I think you will like divergent, i know i do. What have you chosen these books in particular to read, im wondering because these are not really "summerish" books?

K: I'm not sure... They are just books that I haven't read that seem really enjoyable. However, I will most likely raid the library on more summerish books. For example I absolutely love Sarah Dessen's books!

L:Do you have a favorite?

K: I would probably say What Happened To Goodbye, but I like all of her books because they are all breezy and likable.

L: If you were going to be stranded on a island for the rest of your life, which 3 books would you bring with you and why?

K: City of Glass by Cassandra Clare, Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins because they are my favorites and I pretty much read them all the time. If I wasn't able to read them whenever I wanted to I would probably go mental.

L: Haha, I have to agree with you, City of Glass have become a part of my life. Why do you like the hunger games so much?

K: Because it contains a lot of social criticism but at the same time it's very thrilling, intense and the characters are amazing.

L: Do you think the book have a greater meaning? Do you think Collins wanted to say something with this book?

K: Definately! I think she wanted readers to think about what the media and reality TV makes people do. I also think that she wanted people to believe that it's possible to make a change and realise that it can be good to question old habits.

L: That's a good theory and I have to agree with you. Its more than just a book. I have one last question for you, if you could meet ANY author or character of choice, who would it be and why?

K: Jace from the Mortal Instruments! He's simply amazing!

L: Would you like to tell us a bit more why you think he is amazing?

K:He's extremely funny, handsome(at least in my head), smart, faithful, loving, witty, you get the picture I could go on like this for a while. Don't you just love Jace? Mabye you would like to see his mangoes?;)

L: Hahahahaha, I adore Jace, it's soo funny that u ask me about his mangoes because I just uploaded a pic about that to instagram. Thank you for taking the time to do this interview, and have a great evening with lots of mangoes!

I liked this book, it was short and exswee, yes I just created that word, the book was quite not exciting but almost there, quite not sweet, but almost. 

I didn't understand Roar so well. he made me confused, the first day he was all ok, second day a jealous psyco and the third all loving and God knows what. the other characters were good, didn't get to know them that well to give a real opinion since this was a short book. 

I have been wanting to read under the never sky since waay back but something has been holding me back.. but I think I might just give this one a try :)

Week Challenge: go to the library

Hi folks! Im in a hurry, my bus is coming soon so I will do this quick.
Last weeks challenge was to clean your bookshelf. How did it go? I did pretty good myself, I didn't just clean my bookshelf, i bought a new one! Im in love with it, it's so beautiful I think I might as well just die.

All of these books are not too long, and yet not too short, I have mixed great summer read books with dystopias and fantasy, I can not wait until I get to start with Goddess!!
