Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1)

Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)
By Tahereh Mafi
Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war– and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

juliette was a very different character because she had gone throe a lot of things during her uprising. she was a girl with a lot of conflicted thought, they didn't always make sense, and maybe she was a bit crazy, who knows? there isn't really anyone there to tell if she is or not for real. After she was locked in for quite a while...

anyway, let's move on, let's talk about the author Tahereh Mafi. I see what you tried to do there miss Mafi. trying to be new and special and a new thinker huh ? well, congratulations, you did it all, but failed so very hard. let's just begin with this quote that left me
“I always wonder about raindrops. I wonder about how they’re always falling down, tripping over their own feet, breaking their legs and forgetting their parachutes as they tumble right out of the sky toward an uncertain end.”
excuse me? I take back my previous statement, she is nuts. I get that Mafi tried to write in a poetic way, the lady as a heroine in a dystopi community, and make it unique, but then she throws in a hot guy, and you all know what happens afterwards. I like it when Authors step out from their comfort zone because sometimes they make something magnificent, but most of the time it becomes something like this. something bad.
Im not the biggest fan of dystopi books, just because they are so very depressing. the setting is depressing as it is, why on EARTH make the characters depressing to? if I wan't depressing I just take a walk down the psychiatric clinic. so no, this book did not cut it.

Beautiful Creatures: movie

if you have followed my blog for a while you know that i HATED THIS BOOK, and when i got to know that they were gonna turn it into a movie i LOLed and even warned my FB friends not to see it, because this movie had become such an hype.
But then, at the last bookblog event i went to I got tickets for 2 to go and see this movie. and well, it was free so yeah, i wen't and saw the movie. the only reason i even did that was because i wanted to write a bad review about the book.
and here it GOES...
for starters, the movie was better than the book. but it wasn't good.
Ethan and Lena were two very strange characters, they are SO MUCH LIKE EDWARD AND BELLA expect that the rolls are changed.
however i liked the environment, the "fantasy scenes" were very well made.
this movie was a lot like twilight expect much much... crappier. that "love at first sight but at a fantasy level" "i will never leave you, idc that it will kill us" "our love is stronger than nature" all that crap was there, and  i can't deal with that, uhuh, 12 year old scout girls might enjoy it but not 16 year old me, uh uh.

Atleast i had some great snack by me throe the movie

DIY: reuse your old books!

I would never harm my books. ever. even a bad book, no. But I would harm a book i have never read because i don't have that connection with that book you see. if you don't have an old looking book just go to a second hand shop or something and see if they have some, they should have :)

1.hidden storage...

finding the perfect place to hide things can be tricky, and especially if you have a little sister like me, who seem to find everything. but unfortunately for her,  fortinutaly  for me, she hates reading, so what i did was that i opened a book i didn't like, and i hadn't read it, because I got it from someone and it was so not my type of book so I like i said opened it, took out my paper knife and started cutting! if you don't wan't the pages to move you can glue the sides and let the glue sip beneath.

2. time to change wallpaper!

this one is so cool i shall kill myself.. no but seriously, this wall is so awesome! you use the same technic that u use to change/put on regular wall paper, but don't forget book pages are more fragile!

3. old is gold
How to "age" paper
I would definitely try this out if i didn't have this strange phobia for wet paper.
put the pages that you want to give an old touch on a table, make some coffee and sort of paint the coffee on the paper. wait til it dry and do what you wan't with it or you can for an older touch put the pages in the oven, 200C for 6 min :)

4. where did you buy that picture?

so cool! Use the pages in your printer like any old sheet of paper and print some silhouettes that catch your eye. and frame!

Insatiable (Insatiable #1)

Insatiable (Insatiable, #1)
By Meg Cabot
Sick of vampires? So is Meena Harper.
But her boss is making her write about them anyway, even though Meena doesn’t believe in them.
Not that Meena isn’t familiar with the supernatural. See, Meena Harper knows how you’re going to die (not that you’re going to believe her; no one ever does).
But not even Meena’s precognition can prepare her for what happens when she meets—then makes the mistake of falling in love with—Lucien Antonescu, a modern-day prince with a bit of a dark side . . . a dark side a lot of people, like an ancient society of vampire-hunters, would prefer to see him dead for.
The problem is, he already is dead. Maybe that’s why he’s the first guy Meena’s ever met that she could see herself having a future with. See, while Meena’s always been able to see everyone else’s future, she’s never been able look into her own.
And while Lucien seems like everything Meena has ever dreamed of in a boyfriend, he might turn out to be more like a nightmare.
Now might be a good time for Meena to start learning to predict her own future . . .
If she even has one.

I read this book a lifetime ago but im going to write a review about it anyway.
Meg Cabot knows her place when it comes to writing.
and let me tell you this, Vampire books, are so not her place.
COME ON, stick to your teenage romance books, this one did not cut it. vampires was a hype when this one came out, so I suspect she only wrote this one to earn on it, but no, it wasn't even good, the vampire character sucked, he was so weird and the ending sucked.

Best Seller of the Month: February 2013

when I went in on the internet to see which book was this months best seller I was a bit surprised to see that it was still Safe Haven! it would be a bit boring to write about that book again so I checked the YA shelf to see which YA book was the seller of this month at it was...

The Fault in Our StarsDiagnosed with Stage IV thyroid cancer at 13, Hazel was prepared to die until, at 14, a medical miracle shrunk the tumours in her lungs... for now.

Two years post-miracle, sixteen-year-old Hazel is post-everything else, too; post-high school, post-friends and post-normalcy. And even though she could live for a long time (whatever that means), Hazel lives tethered to an oxygen tank, the tumours tenuously kept at bay with a constant chemical assault.

Enter Augustus Waters. A match made at cancer kid support group, Augustus is gorgeous, in remission, and shockingly to her, interested in Hazel. Being with Augustus is both an unexpected destination and a long-needed journey, pushing Hazel to re-examine how sickness and health, life and death, will define her and the legacy that everyone leaves behind.

title: The Fault in Our Stars
author: John Green

The mortal Instruments #1,#2,#3,#4,#5 REVIEWS

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)
I already have a review of the first book, just search for it if you wan't to read that one where i include my own thought of the book..
when I read the first chapter of City of Glass I was hooked. Cassandra Clare's why of writing had me spellbound in place, she tells everything in a great way, and it's never hard to understand what is really happening. what i like the most is how she describes the fight scenes. which there are a lot of. she writes down every single thing that happens, so you get that awesome scene in your head, which many authors fail to do, but she nailed it. I think the romance in the books was enough, not too much, not too little, and I liked the romance. there are a lot or really good climax in these books, and they will make your heart break. just sayin'

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .

City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2)Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what's normal when you're a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who's becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn't ready to let her go — especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary's only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil — and also her father.

To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings — and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?

City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3)To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters - never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City - whatever the cost?

Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary

City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4)The Mortal War is over, and sixteen-year-old Clary Fray is back home in New York, excited about all the possibilities before her. She's training to become a Shadowhunter and to use her unique power. Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And - most importantly of all - she can finally call Jace her boyfriend.

But nothing comes without a price.

Someone is murdering Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second bloody war. Clary's best friend, Simon, can't help her. His mother just found out that he's a vampire and now he's homeless. Everywhere he turns, someone wants him on their side - along with the power of the curse that's wrecking his life. And they're willing to do anything to get what they want. At the same time he's dating two beautiful, dangerous girls - neither of whom knows about the other one.

When Jace begins to pull away from Clary without explaining why, she is forced to delve into the heart of a mystery whose solution reveals her worst nightmare: She herself has set in motion a terrible chain of events that could lead to her losing everything she loves. Even Jace.

City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments #5)What price is too high to pay, even for love? When Jace and Clary meet again, Clary is horrified to discover that the demon Lilith’s magic has bound her beloved Jace together with her evil brother Sebastian, and that Jace has become a servant of evil. The Clave is out to destroy Sebastian, but there is no way to harm one boy without destroying the other. As Alec, Magnus, Simon, and Isabelle wheedle and bargain with Seelies, demons, and the merciless Iron Sisters to try to save Jace, Clary plays a dangerous game of her own. The price of losing is not just her own life, but Jace’s soul. She’s willing to do anything for Jace, but can she still trust him? Or is he truly lost?

Point of Retreat (Slammed #2) REVIEW

Point of Retreat (Slammed, #2)By Colleen Hoover

Hardships and heartache brought them together…now it will tear them apart.

Layken and Will have proved their love can get them through anything; until someone from Will’s past re-emerges, leaving Layken questioning the very foundation on which their relationship was built. Will is forced to face the ultimate challenge…how to prove his love for a girl who refuses to stop ‘carving pumpkins.’

This is a very hard book to review, probably the hardest book i will ever have to review...
why did i not like this book:
nothing really happent in 100 pages or so, but i kept reading, and this book was from Will's POV, and i did not think he would turn out to be the way he was, no that you are actually inside his head and don't just see him from lake's POV.
I didn't like the fact that this was a all around romance book either, but I should probably have been prepared for that...

what I did like:
I liked the head story, They had so many problems that they became vulnerable, and I like vulnerable characters, vulnerable means real.
I also LOVED one special character, their eleven year old neighbor Kiersten! she was so funny and so horribly SMART!
I would love to have a friend like her...

This book is so hard to review because there were so many things that I liked, and so many things that I didn't like.
over - all this book was great, I will not let the bad things take over the bad, but Im sorry this review didn't get so many details...

Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X #1)

By Richelle Mead

Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X, #1)In a futuristic world nearly destroyed by religious extremists, Justin March lives in exile after failing in his job as an investigator of religious groups and supernatural claims. But Justin is given a second chance when Mae Koskinen comes to bring him back to the Republic of United North America (RUNA). Raised in an aristocratic caste, Mae is now a member of the military’s most elite and terrifying tier, a soldier with enhanced reflexes and skills.

When Justin and Mae are assigned to work together to solve a string of ritualistic murders, they soon realize that their discoveries have exposed them to terrible danger. As their investigation races forward, unknown enemies and powers greater than they can imagine are gathering in the shadows, ready to reclaim the world in which humans are merely game pieces on their board.

Gameboard of the Gods, the first installment of Richelle Mead’s Age of X series, will have all the elements that have made her YA Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series such megasuccesses: sexy, irresistible characters; romantic and mythological intrigue; and relentless action and suspense

I don't quite know what to say about this book... for me personally It was a bit hard to understand. The characters were not so real to me, and by real I mean that Mead wrote a good deal about them, but it didn't speak to me, like, i couldn't really believe it. the story otherwise was good, I liked the setting, which by the way was hard to understand to in the beginning because it's so different from our world, or at least that's what it looks like in the beginning.
And, im not so sure if this book really needed all those pages, I think it was a bit to long...

would i recommend this book? maybe, I think you have to like sci-fi a bit and fantasy to really like this book, but I think you should give it a try at least :)

and I have to say Im a bit disappointed with Mead, because i KNOW she can do better than this..

Book-Blog event

I have had super fun today at the book blog event! I met so many new book bloggers and they were all so nice and sweet, you would think that people who read are a bit shy because they read and avoid social contact to read (... or maybe that's just me?) lol, but they were really forward, and I like when people are forward. Omg, the goodiebags were INSANE, I will write a seperate post just about that.
they did interviews there, they Interviewed Peter Barlach, a Swedish author, I was so excited to meet him because i practically grew up with some of his books, books haven't been translated to english though.
Mats Strandberg and Sara Bergmark Elfgren was also there, they wrote the Circle trilogy, they are seriously the best Swedish authors, you should check out there first book, you can find it in the search bar.
They had set up this thing, you could bring books that you didn't wan't or something, and trade them, but you could only take half of the amount that you came with! the rest of the books wen't to a hospital which I thought was a great idea.
here are some pictures, excuse me, I know the pictures are put in a weird way but i couldn't fix it...

TAG: we are living in a mans-world

we saw a documentary today in school about social media, how girls/women get threatened to death, threatens saying they will be raped, killed in the most horrible way etc. because they speak their mind. this girl we got to hear about in the documentary had written something on H&Ms facebook page, she asked them why they sold a hoodie with a convicted rapist, also knows as Tupac. She wanted to know why they sold it and demanded them to stop selling it. and man, I have never seen someone get so much hate in such a short time...
People said the rudest thing, they hoped she got killed in all different ways, that she would kill herself, that someone would rape her and kill her, that they would search up her address and then rape her and eat her, and. they. were. all. men. she is not the only victim of these psycho twisted men, every women who have something to say and is willing to say it out loud get hate, im not kidding, there addresses goes public on facebook for anyone to find it, they get letters from men telling them that if they say this or that again their whole family will be killed and so on.

THIS IS FOR GOD'S SAKE 2013 HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO PUT UP WITH THIS?!
Im tired of this mans-world, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE, ruling everything, and think they are the BOSSES on this very small earth!!!!

It's been this way since Adam and Eve if you would like to believe that, Eve was the one who made that stupid choice to eat from that apple because she is weak, because women are weak, men are not, may I  remind you that while there have been a lot of great men on this earth none of them wouldn't have been born if it wasn't for a woman? and not just that, While men was out in war back in the days WOMAN'S took care of the country, kept it rolling.
Do you think why I think we hear so little about great woman's from the past? because they get hushed down every time they try to speak, just like they do with woman's with a voice today. who said Einstein was the smartest person in the history, I don't believe that, it could have been a women, how could we know, they didn't exactly treat women the way they treated men so you don't really know, so you can't say that Einstein was the smartest dude in the history, because they didn't check the girls.

My mother told me that this is the way it is suppose to be because this is the way it has been since the first human walked on this planet, BUT IT IS NOT THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE, Women have the same chances to become successful as a man, WE deserve it as much as THEY do, why should we BEND because they are men?

back in the days almost all white men and woman where racist, for a long long long looong time, but just because it was like that, does it mean it is the way it should be, because that's the way it has been for a while? then how come we are all so against racism now?

it's a invalid argument, just because things have been a certain way in the past doesn't mean it is still supposed to be like that, we are not a conservatism community, at least not here in Sweden, we accept changes, and I think It is time that we accept that woman's have opinion's and it is time for them to be heard without them getting sexual threatens!

(im not judging all men out there, I know there are a lot of men who sees woman's for what they really are)

Men treat women as your equalsMen of Quality Support Women's Equality
Feminist--Someone who believes men and women are created equal and should have equal rights.Men of quality, respect women's equality
