Free Four: Tobias Tells the Story (Divergent #1.1) REVIEW

Free Four: Tobias Tells the Story (Divergent, #1.1)#1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth retells a pivotal Divergent scene (chapter 13) from Tobias's point of view. This thirteen-page scene reveals unknown facts and fascinating details about Four's character, his past, his own initiation, and his thoughts about new Dauntless initiate Tris Prior.

a short scene from the book Divergent from Four's POV.
I think this piece really tells you how Four felt before Tris knew it herself, and it showes that this wasn't some kind of a instalove. It showed that even Four had weak points, he didn't necessary show other people, and how that could make him so smart, yet so stupid when it came to making choices.

TAG: letting go

saying good bye for the last time and hello for the first time is the hardest thing.
I personally have troubles saying bye.
I don't like to say bye, knowing that you might never ever see this person again, you have shared moment's with this person and to never be able to see this person again.. it hurts.
Graduation is a moment like that. when we finish 9th grade in Sweden we have to choose new school's and i choose one far away, so i knew i wouldn't see a lot of the people i had been growing up with. I didn't have the best childhood, but i knew i would miss them anyway. old friends that I didn't speak with anymore i at least saw everyday at school, but now... all gone. a lot of tears in the car lol.

I think it's because we are all so afraid of letting go, we think we are not ready for what is waiting for us. we wan't to hold on to the things we know.
Humans are so afraid of what we don't know. we are so fixed with knowing everything, we always wan't to know the consequences of our choices.

people say life is a cycle. we are born, die, born, die etc.
But i don't believe that. we don't know what will happen when we die. all we know is that we will die eventually.

how are we supposed to live if we are not ready to make sacrifices? without taking chances?
we don't know what is going to happen after we die but no one really tries to not die.

sometimes letting go is exactly what we need to grow as a person, like in high school, you can't be in high school for the rest of your life, because we wouldn't grow as individuals then. it's hard but it's healthy.

breaking up can be extremely hard to. sharing your personal life with someone is something we do out of trust, but knowing that that person one day will be gone from your life, without being able to delete all the secret's you have ever told that person? it's like they have a piece of you that you can never get back. but that is a part of letting go to. it's in the past and it should stay there. we should be happy, that we had someone back then to trust. and look forward to see who will enter your life next.

what i do when i have to let go of something is that i write about it. sometimes it's just poetry stuff, but sometimes it can become a novel. my head get cleared out and when i have it in front of me i see why i have to let go. it's hard, but in the end it's worth it.

Insurgent (divergent #2) REVIEW

Insurgent (Divergent, #2)By Veronica Roth

One choice can transform you--or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves--and herself--while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable--and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

in the first book we get to know the characters, how they work, what they stand for, and what divergent is.
In the second book we are past all that, and It's now that the real fighting begins.
I liked this book because it was well written, and the story was great. even though this is a dystopia It's not all to dark like the Chaos series. there are happy moment's and nice beautiful environment scenes.

But what i liked the most about this book was the fact that it was so unpredictable!
I never knew where I had half of the characters, were they playing nice, or what? I thought I had some good theories about what would happen but I was always wrong

What I didn't like so much was that Tris was so depressed all the time. (Spoiler, If you haven't read the first book don't continue, although i don't know why you would read this far, search for the first book if you haven't read it yet)
I get that the fact that her parent's died before her eyes and the fact that she killed her friend makes her sensetive, but she could be really irritating sometimes, I just wanted to yell at her. But I guess that Veronica wanted to make Tris as real as possible, and I guess she made it.

question from a reader

I got a question from a reader asking me what language I read books on, since a lot of books these days are.
I read books translated to Swedish and English books. i like to variegate, to keep my vocabulary wide in both Swedish and English :)

5 random swedish words

I can't go to that party, im going to be at home and read a book instead
jag kan inte gå till festen, jag kommer att vara hemma och läsa istället.

It's always so cold in Sweden, even on the summers
det är alltid så kallt i Sverige, även på sommaren

I really don't like you, but I am to nice to say it in a language that you understand so im just going to say it in Swedish
jag tycker verkligen inte om dig, men jag är för snäll för att säga det på ett språk som du förstår så jag säger det på Svenska istället

sorry, im not from here
sorry, jag är inte härifrån

where does the hot guys hide?
vart gömmer sig dom snygga killarna?

Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)Shatter me
By Tahereh Mafi
Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war– and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Simple, Easy, Healthy everyday snack/breakfast

I love avocado. love it with a capitol L. There is nothing in this world I would trade avocado for, seriously, nothing, and how fortunate, because avocado is super duper healthy.
avocado.com says "with fourteen minerals to stimulate growth, including iron and copper for your blood. The sodium and potassium in avocados keeps your body chemically balanced, and their low sugar content and absence of starch make them an ideal fruit for diabetics or individuals with hyperglycemia.  Potassium can also reduce help lower the risk of kidney stones by reducing urinary calcium excretion."

Avocado Toastyou will need
1 avocado

sea salt or normal salt
black peppar
and a slice of bread!
optional: citrus

mash the avocado with a fork. the reason we do it with a fork and not a blender is because we want some chewing pieces, it's not supposed to be a purée.
add the citrus if you want to and blend.
toast the slice of bread and put the avocado mix on the sandwich, sprinkle the salt and peppar over, and voila, you have your healthy sandwich!

Percy Jackson 1 - 5 REVIEW

realized that i havn't written a review about the percy jackson series! so here it goes..

By: Rick Riordan

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school... again. And that's the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Zeus' master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect.

Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus' stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Percy is a twelve year old boy, goes to school, have a few friends... just a normal lifestyle. until he met's Grover, the real Grover. Percy becomes older with every book, so you really get to see him grow and get older, very andenterous in itself
this book was as much of a fantasy book as a fact book, i learned so much about greek myth's i kiiiiiiind of got obsessed with it during that month (year, i still am, but that's a secret)

The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2)The heroic son of Poseidon makes an action-packed comeback in the second must-read installment of Rick Riordan's amazing young readers series. Starring Percy Jackson, a "half blood" whose mother is human and whose father is the God of the Sea, Riordan's series combines cliffhanger adventure and Greek mythology lessons that results in true page-turners that get better with each installment. In this episode, The Sea of Monsters, Percy sets out to retrieve the Golden Fleece before his summer camp is destroyed, surpassing the first book's drama and setting the stage for more thrills to come.

The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3)When the goddess Artemis goes missing, she is believed to have been kidnapped. And now it's up to Percy and his friends to find out what happened. Who is powerful enough to kidnap a goddess? They must find Artemis before the winter solstice, when her influence on the Olympian Council could swing an important vote on the war with the titans. Not only that, but first Percy will have to solve the mystery of a rare monster that Artemis was hunting when she disappeared—a monster rumored to be so powerful it could destroy Olympus forever.

The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #4)When demonic cheerleaders invade his high school, Percy Jackson hurries to Camp Half Blood, from whence he and his demigod friends set out on a quest through the Labyrinth, while the war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord Kronos draws near.

The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5)All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of a victory are grim. Kronos’s army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan’s power only grows.

While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it’s up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.

In this momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy’s sixteenth birthday unfolds. And as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate.

trust me, you will love the books!

New book releases!

February
new month, new books to check out. I don't like this month very much because of 2 reasons. this month in Sweden people eat something called "semla"
 <-- semla.
and 14th february in particular. if you live under a stone you might not know that that day is Valentine's day, I don't get that day, why would you need a special day of the month to show people love and do something special?

anyway, book releases.

The Indigo Spell (Bloodlines, #3)Richelle Mead
Bloodlines #3 The Indigo Spell
If you have not read book number 1, please don't continue reading.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS BOOK ALL MY LIFE AND IT'S FINALLY HERE WOHOOO!!!! I am soooooo excited to get my hands on this one as soon as possible, because I have loved every book I have read from Mead, and ESPECIALLY the bloodline series.

Sydney Is struggling with her Alchemist beliefs, and how could she still be one, when so much is hidden from her? One day she meet Marcus, a former Alchemist who escaped against all odds, and he pushes her to fight back.
and what will happen't to Sydney and Adrian after Adrian's recognition?

Kiersten White
Mind Games (Mind Games, #1)Mind games
Fia was born with flawless instincts. Her first impulse, her gut feeling, is always exactly right. Her sister, Annie, is blind to the world around her—except when her mind is gripped by strange visions of the future.

Trapped in a school that uses girls with extraordinary powers as tools for corporate espionage, Annie and Fia are forced to choose over and over between using their abilities in twisted, unthinkable ways… or risking each other’s lives by refusing to obey.

In a stunning departure from her New York Times bestselling Paranormalcy trilogy, Kiersten White delivers a slick, edgy, heartstoppingly intense psychological thriller about two sisters determined to protect each other—no matter the cost.

I want to read this book for one reason - the cover. LOOK AT IT, its build on pure awesomeness, all the small pictures forming into one, so beautiful :')

Pivot Point (Pivot Point, #1)
Kasie West
Pivot Point

Knowing the outcome doesn’t always make a choice easier . . .

Addison Coleman’s life is one big “What if?” As a Searcher, whenever Addie is faced with a choice, she can look into the future and see both outcomes. It’s the ultimate insurance plan against disaster. Or so she thought. When Addie’s parents ambush her with the news of their divorce, she has to pick who she wants to live with—her father, who is leaving the paranormal compound to live among the “Norms,” or her mother, who is staying in the life Addie has always known. Addie loves her life just as it is, so her answer should be easy. One Search six weeks into the future proves it’s not.
In one potential future, Addie is adjusting to life outside the Compound as the new girl in a Norm high school where she meets Trevor, a cute, sensitive artist who understands her. In the other path, Addie is being pursued by the hottest guy in school—but she never wanted to be a quarterback’s girlfriend. When Addie’s father is asked to consult on a murder in the Compound, she’s unwittingly drawn into a dangerous game that threatens everything she holds dear. With love and loss in both lives, it all comes down to which reality she’s willing to live through . . . and who she can’t live without.

the cover is killing me. with that said, the summary is killing me to. I have to get this boo ASAP, seems like a great Paranormal book, with family intrigues, love and friendship. Addison seems like a cool girl so I can't wait to get to know her a bit more, and this art guy Trevor, come on, all guys who does art are artistic creatures by own, It's going to be intresting to find out how Kasie worked this, and if she can make it up to the expectation the summary gives you.

The Storyteller
Jodi Picoult
The storyteller
Sage Singer, who befriends an old man who's particularly beloved in her community. Josef Weber is everyone favorite retired teacher and Little League coach and they strike up a friendship at the bakery where Sage works. One day he asks Sage for a favor: to kill him. Shocked, Sage refuses…and then he confesses his darkest secret - he deserves to die, because he was a Nazi SS guard. Complicating the matter? Sage's grandmother is a Holocaust survivor.

What do you do when evil lives next door? Can someone who's committed a truly heinous act ever atone for it with subsequent good behavior? Should you offer forgiveness to someone if you aren't the party who was wronged? And most of all - if Sage even considers his request - is it murder, or justice?

I have heard so many great things about this author, she wrote my sister's keeper that they later adapted for the screen, i loved the movie it was so beautiful. I think this book will be a marvelous piece, i have
high expectations of this book, and i honestly think she will reach up to them, if not higher.

Dance of Shadows (Dance of Shadows, #1)
Yelena Black
dance of shadows
Dancing with someone is an act of trust. Elegant and intimate; you're close enough to kiss, close enough to feel your partner's heartbeat. But for Vanessa, dance is deadly – and she must be very careful who she trusts . . .
Vanessa Adler attends an elite ballet school – the same one her older sister, Margaret, attended before she disappeared. Vanessa feels she can never live up to her sister's shining reputation. But Vanessa, with her glorious red hair and fair skin, has a kind of power when she dances – she loses herself in the music, breathes different air, and the world around her turns to flames . . .
Soon she attracts the attention of three men: gorgeous Zep, mysterious Justin, and the great, enigmatic choreographer Josef Zhalkovsky. When Josef asks Vanessa to dance the lead in the Firebird, she has little idea of the danger that lies ahead – and the burning forces about to be unleashed

this seems like a really good book, if you have to judge by the summary, but if you are to care about what the other readers who have already read this book have to say about this book... well, let's just say that a few of them liked the book

is it just me or does february equals OMG covers? they make me go
I will read all of the books i named, and hope you guys do the same :)
