Catching Fire Movie REVIEW

Wow.

This is what happens when you stay true to the book. It becomes a masterpiece. Mr. Lawrence get that (Other directors, TAKE NOTE).
The movie was more than what I expected, a little bit slow in the beginning like the book, but after maybe 40 min things started to heat up. There isn't so much to say about the story other than that they painted everything up better than Picasso could ever do, But what I really want to discuss is the environment.
The districts.
The capitol.
The Arena.
Just about every special scene in the book.
Was made so perfectly.

Everything was pretty much perfect, How the whole world was created just took my breath, away, you can almost SEE the money they put down floating around on the big screen hehe. But as they say, Life is nothing without the different characters we meet. Just as this movie would be nothing without all the actors/characters. I cannot express in words how satisfied I am with the acting. They did ALL an amazing job, the chemistry between Josh/Peeta and Jennifer/ Katniss was very realistic, maybe because they are really good friends irl, I don't know. My favorite new character must be Finnick (Sam Claflin) I loved him in the book too, so I did ave high expectations, I knew that it would be hard to play that characters, beause he IS  deep person, he just doesn't show that, but at the same time we all knew it. Does that make any sense? Probably not. Anyway, Sam did a really great job playing Finick I think, and I'm very excited to see him in Mocking Jay part 1!

'Teenbookalover'' mer än bara mitt bloggnamn / 'Teenbookalover' more than just my name.

Teenbookalover. That's me. That's my blog. That's what readers call me.

I was going to discuss my blog name a bit today, given that I know there are some people who wonder, "why Teenbookalover? '.

Quite honestly? Just then, it had no meaning at all, I just needed a blog name. Because Teen Booklover already used it had to be Teenbookalover. I think it was destiny because Teenbookalover sounds better than Teenbooklover in my opinion, it sits better on my tongue haha.

The more days that passed, the more I realized that the name fits me perfectly. I'm thinking like this, I'm a teenager, and is like any other teenager anywhere, with my own "teenage problems" which I usually write about. Or yes, I turn my mistakes into lessons of inspiration.
Book. You hear it yourself, I love books, I wanted to blog about books, simple as that.
Lover. The word that binds Teen and Book. I love both. With all my heart.
Together - Teenbookalover.

My blog will never ever JUST be about books. My blog is also my sanctuary, where I can tell you what I have managed at the gym, my goal, to tell you about my weekend, how much I love school (or hate) etc etc. Of course, 90% always be about books but my blog would not be mine if it were not for the whole, therefore, does the remaining 10% mean a lot to me.

I think that's the biggest reason behind why I made this blog. There was no blog out there who talked about other stuff than books. Sure books take a big place in my heart, but I'm so much more, and I want my blog to show that. I know how weird it can be not knowing the person behind the screen lol.

========================================================================

Teenbookalover. That's me. That's my blog. That's what readers call me.

Book. Ni hör ju själva. Jag älskar böcker, jag ville blogga om böcker, simple as that.
Lover. Ordet som binder fast Teen och Book. Jag älskar båda delarna. Av hela mitt hjärta.
Tillsammans - Teenbookalover.

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares REVIEW

“I want to believe there is a somebody out there for me. I want to believe that I exist to be there for that somebody.”

Dash & Lily's Book of DaresBy David Levithan & Rachel Cohn
Pages: 260
Publisher:  Knopf Books

“I’ve left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”

So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors ofNick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

The snow is falling outside our hotel-room.
The TV is showing the Idol finale (on mute ofc ugh...)

And in my hands I'm holding this beautiful book. 'Dash and Lily's Book of Dares'
I absolutely loved this because of five reasons.

1. The Christmas feeling this book gives. If you are like me and LOVE this time of the year aka CHRISTMAS TIME you'll love this book. Im serious. Love.

2. Dash and Lily are so smart, I'm talking The fault in our stars smart, and that's saying something.

3. The red notebook. I really don't have to say more.

4. The writing style. This book is written by David Levithan AND Rachel Cohn and as a reader I can really see that the collaboration went well, the writing style doesn't change the way it can went it's duo authors, everything is very smooth.

5. They are both book nerds. I don't know about you, but when I read about characters who loves books just as much as me I get ecstatic because I can really RELATE to that love.

6. The book is H I L A R I O U S. I laughed so much while eading this book, didn't matter that I was sitting on a bus with people around me, I just couldn't stop laughing. I bow down to the authors. Well done!

Lindsay Cummings - the new IT author?

Hi loves! You doing okay? I myself am doing quite well, I'm in a hotel at the moment 2 hours from home because my mum decided that she needed to 'relax'.... so here I am. In a hotel somewhere in Sweden.

You might not be familiar with the name Lindsay Cummings, so let me introduce you guys to her.
Well I'm too lazy to use my own words so I'll just copy a paragraph from her blog.

"Lindsay loves YA books, especially the dark ones, and wants every girl in the world to know that Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead is HER man, and they should kindly back off :)
Lindsay owns two German shepherds, one wolf cub who isn't very smart, a real live Budweiser draft horse named Dan the Man, and a silly little quarter horse named Clue. Lindsay collects weapons, loves to shoot her guns, eats too many Hot Cheetos, and can't stop dying her hair crazy colors. She's still waiting on her letter from Hogwarts--it was probably just lost in the mail. She loves Jesus Christ and believes all of her success is His doing! She's married to an amazing man named Josh, who is pretty sexy, if you ask her."

Lindsay is coming out with her debut book next year in June, 'The Murder Complex' which is a dystopian book (but more about her upcoming books later).

Her first book haven't even been published yet but every YA book blogger out there knows who she is and talks about her all the time.
Including me. She is funny, smart, young, talented, beautiful, and most importantly; she's a fangirl.

HarperCollins bought her book so they will be publishing it next year, having a publisher like Harper will help her A lot since they are crazy famous.

Being this pre-famous as she is I would think she have a lot of pressure on herself. No one have ever read her work before, all they have to judge on is the blurb of her upcoming book. What if the book sucks? Things will probably go downhill if that's the case.

But to be honest I don't think it will suck. Not at all. She seeems like this author who just CAN'T write anything bad.
If things go good her book will become well known in a matter of moment's, because that's what book bloggers do. We put great and bad books under the spotlight.

Lindsay, you have a tough road in front of you, enjoy it and live it to the fullest. We believe in you. I believe in you.

Your mind is not your own..

Meadow Woodson, a fifteen-year-old girl who has been trained by her father to fight, to kill, and to survive in any situation, lives with her family on a houseboat in Florida. The state is controlled by The Murder Complex, an organization that tracks the population with precision.

The plot starts to thicken when Meadow meets Zephyr James, who is—although he doesn’t know it—one of the MC’s programmed assassins. Is their meeting a coincidence? Destiny? Or part of a terrifying strategy? And will Zephyr keep Meadow from discovering the haunting truth about her family?

7. My favorite book characters.

How are you guys? I'm doing just fine at the moment, went to the salon to get my legs waxed today and it felt like I was being bitten by mini hell-hounds. Apparently it hurts more if your legs are used to shaving. U learn something new everyday.

My number one all time favorite character is

Tris Prior from Divergent.
She reminds me so much of myself it's scary. I look up to her a lot, we have been trough a lot of similar stuff and often think 'what would Tris do' when I need guidance.

Augustus Waters from The Fault in our Stars.
Where should I even begin? He is so smart, charming, handsome, tall, reader, and.... smart. I have a thing for smart guys ok. And not guys who just do well in school but guys who question everything. Like Augustus. He is a interesting character and very unpredictable. That's what I like the most abut him; that he's unpredictable.
But at the same time he is this gorgeous caring person who'd do anything for the people he loves. He is honest and is not afraid to say what he really feels. Why can't more people be like him?
One day i'll find you Augustus Waters. you will be inside a human body and probably go under a different name but I'll find you. And you and I will be friends forever.

Magnus Bane from The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments.
Because he is the sassiest warlock out there who lives every day to the fullest even though he is immortal. Now if a Immortal hot guy can do that, then why the hell can't we mortals do that? It's are time thats precious! :)

Wild Cards REVIEW

Wild Cards (Wild Cards, #1)By Simone Elkeles
Pages: 342
Publisher: Walker Books

After getting kicked out of boarding school, bad boy Derek Fitzpatrick has no choice but to live with his ditzy stepmother while his military dad is deployed. Things quickly go from bad to worse when he finds out she plans to move them back to her childhood home in Illinois. Derek’s counting the days before he can be on his own, and the last thing he needs is to get involved with someone else’s family drama.

Ashtyn Parker knows one thing for certain--people you care about leave without a backward glance. A football scholarship would finally give her the chance to leave. So she pours everything into winning a state championship, until her boyfriend and star quarterback betrays them all by joining their rival team. Ashtyn needs a new game plan, but it requires trusting Derek—someone she barely knows, someone born to break the rules. Is she willing to put her heart on the line to try and win it all?

And she have done it again.
Simone Elkeles does this all the time, she leave me with no words!
Her books are easy to read but they are yet so powerful and strong, the way she writes is just magic.
She manages to make ME feel what the characters feel, every single time. It's like it's happening to me, and to be able to do that is what I call skills. Knowing how to use the alphabet.

Wild Cards was so heartwarming, so beautiful and just oooh so perfect. I fell in love with the narrators after 20 pages in, they just captured my heart without warning the way her characters always does.
Simone Elkeles books really show that just because the book is easy to read and fun doesn't mean it can't be emotional at the same time. I really like that.

I got this book from Simone Elkeles herself as a 'get well' gift, because my friend Linnea told her about my surgery, and  after that she contacted me via facebook. To be able to say "my favorite author cares about me, she is my friend" is just so surreal. She is the the most nicest author out there, no questions
about that <3
