This is not Goodbye.

Dear reader.

I remember when I made this blog. I was thrilled. Books had long been a big part of my life and I was finally going to start sharing that love over the internet with other people.

At first no one would visit this blog. But that was okay. I loved writing about books anyway, and my poor statistic didn't stop me from doing what I loved. I was doing it for me.

Months went by and more and more people found this blog. Before I knew it TeenBookaLover were the blog that every booknerd talked about - worldwide.

TeenBookaLover started to get recognized in media and I can honestly say that my little blog would grow to become THAT big. But it did.

The "fame" never got to me. Of course it's fun and stuff but reading was still the thing I cared most about.
Reading gives me inner peace and pleasure like nothing else. No food, hug or guy could ever make me as happy as reading makes me.

This is my 634th blog post.
And I'm sad to say that I've lost my passion for blogging somewhere on the road.
I don't know what to write about, school is eating me up these days (months rather) and every day that passes by without a new blog-post makes me feel like a big failure.

I went into town today with my friend and manager Julia to get some drinks and we talked.
That's when I realized something. I'm not blogging for my own sake anymore. I'm not doing it because I WANT TO anymore.

I'm doing it for all of you guys.
My readers means the world to me. They give me so much joy. Every time I get an email or a comment saying how well I manage everything I get tears in my eyes. Every kind word makes me so happy, and it does give me fuel to continue and it makes blogging more fun.

But when people start demanding 1 post a day and get angry with me for updating so infrequently during times when I don't have time or energy.... I feel so bad then. I start to put these people's wish before my own health, and before I know it I'm sitting in a corner crying because of all the stress I'm under. I'm so sorry, but I can't please my "duty" as a book-blogger right now. And I hope that you understand.

My promise to you and myself is this:
I will come back. I love my blog more than words can ever describe. I've created something beautiful, and TeenBookaLover IS my most significant peace of art.

I just need to take care of myself right now and find my passion for blogging again.
But I will find it. And when I do I will be back.

I'll write here again in 2 weeks letting you guys know if I need more time or not.

Until then, take care.

Love always
xoxo Lihini

New Releases of the Month: May

Hi guys!
Been a long day for me today.
Had my national test in English today (writing part) and then I've been over at Elviras place all day baking and talking about boys (she is also known as the photographer for TeenBookaLover)

May is a bittersweet month for me. It's the last full month for the seniors in school, and then they will be gone. I will miss them so so much. I've grown so attached to them, and school won't be the same without them. My heart is bleeding. No for real, I think I just got shot.
Nevermind, I'm fine.

But apart from that we hav 2 birthdays this month! My friend Sebastian turned 18 today and Elvira will turn 18 in two days, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you guys <3

HOW TO SPOIL EVERYTHING IN ONE TRAILER:

LOVE the trailer, because I've read the book, but man, they spoil waay to much in this extended trailer. Why even show the metaphor thing? Let people see it during the movie. Kind of ruined the beauty of it.

With that said, SHAILENE WOODLEY AND ANSEL ELGORT LOOK SO PERFECT TOGETHER, I CAN ALMOST TOUCH THAT CHEMISTRY THAT THEY CONSUME INTO THEIR CHARACTERS.

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass #1) REVIEW

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)
By Sarah J. Maas

Pages: 404
Publisher: Bloomsbury

After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin. Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom.

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another.

Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

What.
Is.
This.

That was my first reaction. What on earth is this.
I'm an avid reader. I read all the time, I talk about what I read, and I write about it too. I've come across some great, bad, fast paced, slow paced, incoherent, etc. books in my days.

But THIS book right here was just so hard to understand. The beginning did not make sense at all, the background story lacked important information that I'd like to have just to UNDERSTAND what I'm reading. Feeling clueless of what's happening 250 pages in is just not right. But as the real fighter I am I kept going. Kept fighting this book.

AAAAND I did not like it. I think there's a great story that's being told BUT everything went super fast in my opinion and not much facts to why everything that happened was given. The biggest issue I had with this book though was that I had a very hard time remembering all the characters. They kind of just melted together.

To sum things up, nice story, poorly told.

RADIO DEBUT TODAY

Hi! I came home yesterday, the first thing I planned to do when I came home was open the computer and review the book I finished reading on my trip, buuuuut I fell asleep. I don't even remember walking in to my room yesterday lol.

Today have been a rather busy day! I woke up, and seeing my books this morning gave me so much joy. Made my day. Then I got dressed and did my make up, before heading to Stockholm city for my radio debut. I had my TeenBookaLover team with me, wouldn't be able to get to the interview without them haha!

It's in Swedish so non swedish speakers wont understand a thing!
I talked about Divergent, they asked me question about it, what I thought in general, what I liked, disliked, my thoughts about the characters etc. I think I did a pretty great job, seeing as it is my first time in radio and all. A unforgettable experience, and trust me, this won't be my last time.  Click here to get to the link

As some of you might know JLA is one of my favorite authors of all time. I have no doubt whatsoever that this YA mystery book will be any less than her other books.

Mud VeinMud Vein
By Tarryn Fisher
Publication date: April 5th

When reclusive novelist Senna Richards wakes up on her thirty-third birthday, everything has changed. Caged behind an electrical fence, locked in a house in the middle of the snow, Senna is left to decode the clues to find out why she was taken. With her survival hanging by a thread, Senna soon realizes this is a game. A dangerous one. Only the truth can set her free.

I've read one book by Taryn Fisher before and I swear, that book left my mind jiggly for a whole week. All I could think about was the novel. Fisher have this capturing way of writing, it's beautiful.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #1)To All the Boys I've Loved Before
by Jenny Han
Publication date: 15th April

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

This seems like the perfect summer read! I'm going on a vacation tomorrow to Turkey and I'm definitely bringing this book with me in my ebook reader.

Rebel BelleRebel Belle
By Rachel Hawkins
Publication date: April 8th

Harper Price, peerless Southern belle, was born ready for a Homecoming tiara. But after a strange run-in at the dance imbues her with incredible abilities, Harper's destiny takes a turn for the seriously weird. She becomes a Paladin, one of an ancient line of guardians with agility, super strength and lethal fighting instincts.
Just when life can't get any more disastrously crazy, Harper finds out who she's charged to protect: David Stark, school reporter, subject of a mysterious prophecy and possibly Harper's least favorite person. But things get complicated when Harper starts falling for him--and discovers that David's own fate could very well be to destroy Earth.

Rachel Hawkins wrote The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. Most suspense and thrilling book in this world.

Love Letters to the DeadLove Letters to the Dead
By Ava Dellaira
Publication date: April 1th

It begins as an assignment for English class: Write a letter to a dead person. Laurel chooses Kurt Cobain because her sister, May, loved him. And he died young, just like May did. Soon, Laurel has a notebook full of letters to people like Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Amelia Earhart, Heath Ledger, and more; though she never gives a single one of them to her teacher. She writes about starting high school, navigating new friendships, falling in love for the first time, learning to live with her splintering family. And, finally, about the abuse she suffered while May was supposed to be looking out for her. Only then, once Laurel has written down the truth about what happened to herself, can she truly begin to accept what happened to May. And only when Laurel has begun to see her sister as the person she was; lovely and amazing and deeply flawed; can she begin to discover her own path.

This is a realistic fiction. I think this book will make you cry, it seems like it. I love reading cry-books.

when to NOT bring a book with you

What?!
"TeenBookaLover must have gone mad, there is never a 'nono' time for a good ol book"

In a great fantasy I would most definitely agree with you. I've been in many situations where all I've wanted to do is hide behind a book but unfortunately you can't always do that *silent sob*

But NOT bringing a book with you helps you concentrate on what you're doing much better. You might find yourself wishing for your book but that will be just it - wishes. And sometimes that's a good thing..

SOCIAL MEETINGS
Ever been to a super boring party or ever found yourself stuck with what could seem like the world's most boring people?
Yeah, We've all been there.

What I would like to do in that situation is hide behing a really tall person or a tree, whatever is closest - and read. Just escaping reality, and wouldn't want to escape reality when it's so boring for the moment?

I hate to be the person to tell you this, but sometimes you have to be with people you don't want to be with. It's good training for the future and you might need that person in a close future!

Kitchens
Reading while eating, there is nothing better.

Until you put it down on something foodish and it just destroys your book. Or maybe someone else harm your book. If you think about it, most incidents happens in kitchen.
I don't know about you,  but I'd rather eat a living human baby before bestroying my baby book

Class
YES reading under the table on a boring history class is SO TEMPTING. It harms no one. Except maybe your education but whatever.

... until your teacher takes your book. And keeps it until the end of the school day.

Divergent: Movie REVIEW

I saw the movie a while ago but haven't gotten the time to review it until now. Let's get on with it then!

Divergent.
Divergent.
Divergent.
What a great freaking intense movie. No for real, my feels exploded all over the movie theater.
They didn't change too much and they stayed pretty true to the book.
What really blew my mind was how well they captured the Chicago that Veronica Roth painted up in her books. Nothing  was overdone or too massive.
The same thing goes with the characters. I'd like to talk a bit more about Theo James who played Four.

Four is a pretty complex character to play. He have this harsh personality that you don't wan't nothing to do with. He have these high walls around him, and I think those who have read the book knows why.
But Four is more than that. He does have feelings (surprisingly enough).
He just doesn't show them in a obvious way.
I think Theo James really captured that about Four. All his small little facial expressions were so FOURish. I didn't think he would be able to full it off. But he did.

I'll give the movie 4 out of 5 Dauntless cakes.
