What to do with books you no longer want

donate to charity
Giving books to charity is a great way of getting rid unwanted books (Or less liked books) Charities are meant for people in need, so you'll know that the book will get to someone who will be grateful for it.
If you don't know any charities you could just google it to see if there are any close to you. The red cross usually takes book donations
give to a friend
You might not have liked the book but maybe a friend will? Free books are usually always welcomed among friends, and it's a way of making sure that the book actually becomes "recycled" Who know, maybe your friend will love the book and you to can have a debate about your different opinions

use as decoration
Having nice looking books around the house works GREAT a decoration! Especially in the hallway and living-room :) I love stacking some books and then putting a vase with roses on top, gives it a romantic feel. (Valentines day are coming!)

use for DIY's
There are tons of DIY's you can do with books, just google book diy or something and you will get many hits. A favorite of mine is the secret pocket book diy. All yoy basically do is cut of square pieces from the pages so that you have a hole, and then you can put things there and no one would know ;)

donate to public/school library
This title pretty much says it all, libraries loves getting books and especially school library's. They are a bit picky with the shape of the book though.

MY WEEKEND

I went on a cruise over the weekend to Mariehamn (Island in Finland)*Updade* Apparently it's a city in Åland...
We went with Birka Paradise for once, I've never cruised with that ship before :)
I really liked it, they had 2 pools 4 -5 Jacuzzi's, GREAT food and drinks, and they even had a fake sn near the pool, it was awesome!

Out of Siljaline, Vikingline and Birka Paradise, I have to say I like Birka the most.

Time to go to bed and continue on with the Jungle Book! (I like it so far)

The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #2) REVIEW

The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #2)By Michelle Hodkin
Pages: 527
Publisher: Simon and Schuster UK
Review of the first book: click HERE

Mara Dyer knows she isn't crazy. She knows that she can kill with her mind, and that Noah can heal with his. Mara also knows that somehow, Jude is not a hallucination. He is alive. Unfortunately, convincing her family and doctors that she's not unstable and doesn't need to be hospitalised isn't easy. The only person who actually believes her is Noah. But being with Noah is dangerous and Mara is in constant fear that she might hurt him. She needs to learn how to control her power, and fast! Together, Mara and Noah must try and figure out exactly how Jude survived when the asylum collapsed, and how he knows so much about her strange ability...before anyone else ends up dead!

FINALLY, I FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON THIS BOOK!

I read the first book over one year ago, and I'm glad that I choose to continue with the series.
I forgot how addicting Michelle Hodkin's writing can be. I remember thinking that the first book reminded me of Twilight, but I honestly don't know what I was thinking then.

Noah Shaw. Yet another fictional crush of mine. Hodkin's wrote about mental ilness in a very true way, and every page build p beautifully to the climax. No plot holes as far as I'm concerned, and the story kept a nice pace.

BUT. Be prepared for a lot of unanswered questions that I think will be answered in the third installment. I'm curios to know what will happen, but i'm darn sure that ending was a bluff. It has to be.

The interview

The interview went great! I had a very fun time interviewing Mats Berggren, I was super nervous and I made a few mistakes but my friends told me I did a good job, so I trust them :)

They people that "hired" me told me that I did amazing and that we'd keep in touch for future collaborations so yeah, I'm satisfied, can't wait to do interviews again!

February

Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3)Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3)
By Tahereh Mafi

I'm not a fan of the Shatter Me series, but for those of you who are are probably happy about this release! :)

White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1)White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements #1)
By Jennifer L. Armentrout
Publication date: 25th February

One kiss could be the last.

Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.

Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.

I really look forward to get my hands on this book, I need something to read after the Lux series, not that anything will top that series but still...

Song of the Fireflies (The Edge of Never, #3)Song of Fireflies
By J.A. Redmerski

Since they were kids, Elias Kline and Brayelle Bates have been inseparable. I can't wait for this book! If you haven't read The Edge of Never you really should, that book is so amazing, it's beautiful and touching. It's in the New Adult/romance genre.

Take a Chance (Chances, #1; Rosemary Beach, #6)
Take a Chance

By  Abbi Glines
Publication date:  25th February

When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Seems like a nice light book, I'm not the biggest fan of Abbi Glines, but I just won't give up, it's like im looking for a miracle...

Favorite book genre and what book made me fall in love with it.

Fantasy. No questions about it.

It makes me feel so free, I can be whoever I want to and do whatever I want to trough the characters. It's a completely different world than ours, it's an escape from reality and I love it. I like the fantasy book that have one foot on both sides, the mortal and the immortal. Makes it all more excited.

The book that made me fall in love with fantasy must have been Twilight, which also was the book that made me fall in love with books in general. I owe Twiligt a lot!

MY WEEK

Monday
Went to the gym as usual, picked up some books from the post-office (Papertowns by John Green and Eleanor and Parker) by Rainbow Rowell, nothing fancy really.
NOT MY BOOKS

Tuesday
I had so much fun this day!
I had a beep test which wasn't the fun part but I endured it and I did pretty good so I'm satisfied. I can't wait until my last beep test that will come up in a few months, because then it will all be OVER.
After school I had a meeting with Nordisk Film, the movie company that's resposible for the Divergent movie here in Sweden, I had a really fun time there at their head quarters, I love being there, and I love working with the movie, I know I will feel so proud of myself when I see the movie, It'll feel like I had a part in the making, which I in a way have. We talked a lot about upcoming event's that I can't talk about, but I'll tell you this, the swedish fans won't be disappointed!

Wednesday
I got a mail from Swedens biggest library, asking me if I wanted to hold a interview there with an author. I'd never heard of him but I accepted, because I'm spontaneous like that.

Thursday
Surprise test at school! I mean, it was planned but I totally missed it, therefor I was surprised.
I did amazeballs at it though.

Friday
F I N A L L Y.
Killer work out session at the gym! Biceps and back was on the schedule for the day. Or to be completely honest it wasn't but my friend Fredrik thought I should do it. I usually hate doing back excercises because I'ts boring and so limited with work outs but this day was different, I think I did over 75 chins (with help weight)!!!

I had to run some errands before though, being a blogger is not always easy lol...

Saturday
Party at Emelie's place! It was her 18th birthday and it was a theme party, We had to dress up to something that began with the first letter in our names. I was a Hillbilly! In Swedish it's "lantis" ;)
I met some very nice people, her boyfriend was so sweet! They were so cute together :')

The night ended with me and Julia at her place, just talking about life and boys to 3 am

Pictures taken by me and Elin

Sunday
Woke up at Julia's house, had some nice breakfast, talked, just a normal cozy Sunday morning. But I was very tired when I woke up, I only slept 5 hours, and I need ALL my 10 hours of sleep...

I've also been studying...
